ALL SAINTS´WEEK ´18

ALL SAINTS´WEEK 2018 "WE ARE ALL CALLED TO BE SAINTS" As the past three years we have been working on the saints, a Spanish tradition which may be replaced, specially among young people , with Halloween.  Both traditions are related to the dead and we want to focus on ours and put a cheerful atmosphere for the children to see that Sanctity is not a dark and old thing. It has been a global project worked from the early ages in our school learning about the Christian origins of their names , the lives of the most famous saints as St. Teresa, St. Francis of Asís, etc. and they have had fun getting pictures taken at this nice photocall "LET´S BE SAINTS In Primary they have done different activities such as Maps with saints to see their stories, origins and celebration; beautiful garlands, some tips for us to be a kind of saints, to see how people around us are on their way to a common sanctity and to appreciate generosity, pray, help, teaching, underst...

IMMERSION WEEK 1º ESO

IMMERSION WEEK AT SHEFFIELD CENTRE IN GUADARRAMA  Last October our  1º ESO students have participated in an exciting immersion week at Sheffield Centre in Guadarrama. They have been learning about nature, animals, wild life, but at the same time they have been practising their social skills and the most important thing: RESPECT OTHERS.  The monitors have made them think about unrespectful attitudes and how can they hurt others. How to fight bullying and how to help weaker people around them.   They have enjoyed music and dance and  outdoors and indoors activities. They have known each other better and this week has been a good opportunity to strength ties between the two classes.  We hope they have practised a good English with the native monitors and our teachers and they have discovered that they can communicate in a foreign language even if they make mistakes. Daring to speak English is the target in a different environment ...

I hope you're ready to learn a lot of English and Culture from the English speaking countries, some  Literature this year and also have fun doing it!! PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE ROYAL WEDDING P rince Harry and  Meghan Markle  exchanged vows in front of 600 guests including the Queen, more than 30 royals and famous faces. Prince Harry, 33, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, married Meghan Markle, 36, an American actress, at Windsor Castle.  Each has a new title. Harry is now the Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel.  Ms. Markle will be known as Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex . Oprah Winfrey was there. So was Elton John, Serena Williams, and the Clooneys and the Beckhams. Sir Elton, who was a good friend for Harry's mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, performed at the lunchtime reception.
